Mangan Holcomb Partners Sweeps ARcom Awards

Mangan Holcomb Partners (MHP)/Team SI received 13 Prism awards and were finalist in 16 categories at the 2018 ARcom Awards Ceremony sponsored by the Arkansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and the Arkansas Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Each year, the ARcom Awards Ceremony recognizes exceptional and outstanding achievements from communicators across the state. This year, there were more than 141 entries in 34 categories, and we are proud to have won nearly half.

MHP Public Relations Department Welcomes Intern

Rebecca Bailey, a public relations and communication double major at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA), is the public relations intern at Mangan Holcomb Partners for the Fall 2018 semester. “I’m very excited to be at Mangan Holcomb Partners. It has been a dream of mine to intern here since the first time I toured the agency during a PRSA/PRSSA agency tour day,” said Bailey.

Before interning at MHP, Bailey worked as a communication and marketing intern at the Tri Sigma Foundation, a writing and communication consultant at the UCA Center for Writing and Communication, a brand ambassador with Delta Dental and as a marketing assistant for Uniquely Greek.

In addition to meeting new people, Bailey is excited to “get her feet wet” in the tactical side of public relations. She is eager to gain valuable, real-world experience from all the employees at MHP.

I can’t ride a bike and I don’t know how to “properly” swim.

What’s the best Halloween costume you’ve ever had?

When I was in elementary school, I was Pippy Longstocking, complete with crazy knee-high socks, a jumper and a wire hanger strung through my hair to make my braids stick straight out!

Morris joins Mangan Holcomb Partners

Nadine Morris has joined Mangan Holcomb Partners (MHP) as brand activation manager. In this role, Morris’s responsibilities include media planning and buying, account management and local market activation.

Morris has more than 40 years of marketing experience in a variety of industries. Her specialties include media planning and negotiation, local market activation, added value negotiation, client relations, account management, budget management, product and campaign strategy and implementation, media relations, crisis management and event management.

Prior to joining MHP, Morris worked with clients such as, McDonald’s, Dillard’s, the Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission.

Morris is the past president of the Arkansas Advertising Federation, and has served as a board member for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation.

Gaines House Dinner to Honor Leslie Rutledge with the Sandra Wilson Cherry Award

The Board of Directors of the Gaines House, a local nonprofit that serves homeless women in Arkansas, will honor Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General, with the 2018 Sandra Wilson Cherry Award. The award will be presented on Feb. 8, 2018 and is named after the late Sandra Wilson Cherry, the former president of the Gaines House board who was an Assistant United States Attorney and the first woman to serve as president of the Arkansas Bar Association.  Read More »

Mangan Holcomb Partners/Team SI Wins Nine Prism Awards

Mangan Holcomb Partners (MHP)/Team SI was awarded nine Prism Awards last night at the Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) ARCom event. The agency’s work with Arkansas 529, a tax-advantaged college savings plan, was of particular note, demonstrating its continued growth in the 529 financial industry.

“We are proud of the work we do for each of our clients, and this recognition for Arkansas 529 is the same,” said Sharon Tallach Vogelpohl, Principal/President at MHP/Team SI. “It is an honor to be recognized as we continue to break the mold and be intentionally inventive in the 529 industry.”

In an effort to promote the Arkansas 529 program, the state Office of Treasurer launched a Coloring for College initiative during National Save for College Month. The goal was to increase the number of accounts and secure participation in 25 Arkansas counties. Through a variety of grassroots public relations efforts, the campaign resulted in entries from 49 counties and increased new assets to more than $30 million over the prior year.
